Crown Holdings names Americas Division president

DJALMA Novaes Jr is joining Crown Holdings Inc. as president of the Americas Division beginning January 1, 2015.

The 53-year-old Novaes will succeed Raymond L. McGowan Jr, who will retire in the first quarter of next year. Mr Novaes will be promoted from his current position as president of Crown Embalagens Metalicas da Amazonia S.A. (Crown Brazil). He will report to Timothy J. Donahue, Crown’s president and chief operating officer. He will be based in Philadelphia.

After joining Crown in 1998, Mr Novaes held a number of positions of increasing responsibility within the organisation, including vice president of Operations at Crown Beverage Packaging North America.   He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Pontificia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro and an MBA from Funda??o Getúlio Vargas in S?o Paulo.
