Daihatsu to build plant in Indonesia

Daihatsu Motor Co. Ltd has decided to acquire land and construct a new plant in Suryacipta City of Industry, an industrial park in Karawang, West Java, Indonesia, through PT. Astra Daihatsu Motor (ADM), its Indonesia-based subsidiary. The acquisition is in line with strengthening Daihatsu’s business in Indonesia and Malaysia, two countries which the company has positioned as important strategic places. ADM will construct the new plant to meet rising demand for automobiles as the automobile market is expanding with the continued growth of the Indonesian economy driven by its flourishing domestic demand.
