Delcam opens North-West office to increase sales

Delcam has opened an office in Liverpool to support increased sales in the North-West of the UK, especially to the region’s aerospace industry.  The expansion follows significant growth in UK sales during last year.  A large number of new customers for the company’s CADCAM programs, together with greater investment in additional seats by existing customers, saw an increase of almost 40% in software sales from 2011 to 2012.

Delcam UK General Manager, Steve Creron, added that the need to provide better support to customers in the North West was just as important as the growth in sales in the decision to add the new office.  "With the M6 seeming to get busier every month, it can be inconvenient for customers from the North-West to travel to Birmingham for training,” he commented.  "By providing training in our Liverpool office instead, we can save our customers both time and money.”

The new office is located in the same building as Delcam’s robot integration partner, CNC Robotics.  "Demand for machining with robots is increasing, with a growing number of companies looking to use robots either alongside or instead of conventional machine tools,” said Mr. Creron.  "Sharing premises with CNC Robotics will make it easier to present joint demonstrations to potential customers and to train users on the application of the robot and the software.”

Delcam is now looking for additional sales and support staff for both the Liverpool office and the company’s Birmingham headquarters.  "We have seen further sales growth so far this year, and need to expand both our sales team and our support team to meet the growing demand,” commented Mr. Creron.
