DETECTAMET recently shipped higher grade 316 stainless steel churns to Unilever’s New Century site in the United States.
Designed for handling special ingredients in production processes, these churns allow liquid ingredients to be prepared in a high risk area, then sealed and transferred securely to the point where they are added to the main process.

Detectamet offers a range of 5-litre to 20-litre models with handles for portability and easy pouring lip. Four latches keep the lid in place and protect against accidental spillage or contamination. Hygienically designed, the churns have smooth corners, fine welding and finely ground rivet fittings prevent trapping.
“These churns look the part,” said Sean Smith, CEO of Detectamet. “The resilient polished stainless steel will be easy to clean and offer a very long product life cycle to ensure excellent value for money.”
Those dispatched to Unilever have a volume of 15 litres (4 gallons). Made with 316 grade stainless steel, the churns are suitable for use in the dairy industry with its challenging hygiene expectations.
