DOMO Chemicals opens nylon compounding plant in China

A ceremony was held on April 28 for the opening of DOMO's new nylon compounding plant in Jiaxing, China . A delegation of the Benelux chamber of commerce, the Belgian consul and the senior management of DOMO including the owner attended the opening ceremony. The new plant realizes 10,000 tons production capacity and it is planned to add 5,000 tons in 2017, and another 5,000 tons in 2019.

 

 

As part of DOMO Engineering Plastics’ global manufacturing network, the new plant will serve Asian customers with an extensive variety of product solutions including DOMAMID® Nylon 6 and 6.6 or High Temperature Nylon (HTN) functionalized compounds to serve the automotive, electrical and consumer goods industries; with ECONAMID® and ECONAMID® ORO, the company’s engineering polymers range based on high quality pre-consumer waste feedstock, DOMO Engineering Plastics is offering a complete assortment of sustainable nylon (PA6 and PA66) compounds. In addition, the new compounding unit in Jiaxing offers customers a “Fast Response Colormatch Service” for pre-colored nylon compounds.
