Dormer Tools builds for the future

Dormer Tools' high performance drilling, milling and threading ranges will be grouped into two productivity classes to enable quick and easy customer identification of the optimum tool. These will be named, "Elect" and "Spectrum," with Elect representing top performance in particular materials and specific applications, and Spectrum representing versatility over a multitude of materials and defined operations. The first of these involves several additions to Dormer's solid carbide "one-hit" deep-hole drilling programme. Branded Elect APP, the R572 (15xØ), R573 (20xØ) and R575 (30xØ) will be added to the existing R570 (8xØ) and R571 (12xØ). All drills feature advanced chip management flute geometry and super-flow surface treatment. These two elements ensure consistent forces throughout the drilling cycle with little or no increase in torque generated. The end result is a tool that can run faster, for longer. The second launch involves a significant expansion to Dormer's range of highly versatile Spectrum multi-material taps.
