DP Technology CAM software to be presented in EMO 2015

This year, ESPRIT 2015 helps increase productivity for a full range of machine tool applications by generating more efficient toolpaths while also saving time by providing substantial improvements in computer numerical control (CNC) programming productivity. Besides increasing productivity, the release also provides many new and improved features specifically in the areas of intelligent machining, strategic machining, CAD-CAM data exchange and Cloud-Enabled CAM.

 

Intelligent machining features in ESPRIT 2015 accelerate the machining process by providing new and unique 5-Axis machining cycles that reduce cycle time. ESPRIT’s 5-Axis Blade Roughing cycle makes it possible to completely machine turbine blades in a single setup and eliminates the need for one or more semi-finish cycles. The new version also includes features that increase machining productivity. The new Bottom Up roughing strategy combined with ProfitMilling – a unique high-speed machining roughing technology – helps take ProfitMilling to the next level. “Using ESPRIT 2015 new 5-axis and Bottom Up roughing features, CAM programmers will benefit from a dramatic reduction in cycle time and a noticeable improvement in tool life”, said Cedric Simard, Global Marketing & Communication Director at DP Technology.

 

The strategic machining capabilities of ESPRIT 2015 have been expanded with completely redesigned stock automation capabilities. The new stock automation function maintains awareness of the stock removed by previous operations to generate cutting passes only in areas where stock remains. This function greatly reduces air cutting which in turn drastically reduces cycle time.

 

ESPRIT 2015 makes it easier to move information from your CAD system into the CAM environment. Sketches, feature profiles and curves are now available from CATIA, Pro-Engineer and NX/UG to allow you to create features easily in ESPRIT for further machining operations. ESPRIT 2015 also lets you to create chains directly from solid models to speed up your work flow exponentially.

 

With the ESPRIT MachiningCloud Connection, programmers can easily find the ideal tooling for any job and save time flipping through printed tooling catalogues. They can access complete and up-to-date cutting-tool product data and simultaneously improve collision-detection capabilities.
