Dr. Stefan Spindler to head Schaeffler industrial division

DR. Stefan Spindler has been recently appointed by Schaeffler AG’s supervisory board as member of the Board of Managing Directors.

Dr. Spindler, 53, will succeed Robert Schullan as CEO of the Industrial division effective May 1. Mr. Schullan, 57, will leave the Schaeffler Group to pursue new career opportunities.

Prior to joining the Schaeffler Group, Dr. Spindler served as a member of the Executive Board at Bosch Rexroth responsible for the ”Mobile Applications” business division. 

Georg F. W. Schaeffler, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Schaeffler AG, said, ”With Dr. Spindler, we are gaining a very experienced executive manager for our Industrial division who will consistently continue Mr. Schullan’s work, in particular with regard to the worldwide customer business. We wish Dr. Spindler every success in his new and challenging role."

Mr. Schaeffler likewise commended Mr. Schullan’s contributions to the company.  “Mr. Schullan has been working for the Schaeffler Group for approximately 30 years. During this time, he has made an outstanding contribution to the successful development of the Schaeffler Group’s industrial business. We thank Mr. Schullan for his contribution over the last three decades at the Schaeffler Group and wish him all the very best for his future career,” Schaeffler stated.
