Dual dispensing pump ideal for color blending

UTILIZING a patented  dual-dispensing technology, MiniMix™ is the first “spatial” mixer that custom blends two formulas with no residual product. This VariBlend delivery process utilizes a tightly webbed, precision matrix of 19 separate nozzles to distribute select ratios of two thoroughly blended formulas onto a surface applicator, resulting in a freshly blended, smooth delivery.

 

The slim profile 20mm dispenser offers color-blending capabilities that make it ideal for lip, eye, and face color cosmetics. It is also an exciting new packaging alternative for products delivered in various strengths, such as skin care and oral care products, OTC drugs, and those that require ingredient segregation. The shades and formulas in the two chambers are intended to be complementary and easily blended. Concealer and eyeshadow formulas are planned for future development.

 

Using the MiniMix is as as simple as turning a twist-knob on the adjustable color scale from one to seven, said VariBlend CEO and president Robert Brands, allowing the consumer to choose between two shades that can be applied each on its own, or in any of seven combinations -- as in “LipMix”, a unique lip color product from Faber-Castell Cosmetics that offers consumers seven different lip shades in one package.

 

“Imagine, for example, end-users having to carry only one shade of lip gloss, instead of seven,” he added.
