Biggest show for non-alcoholic drinks expects 10,000 industry leaders and professionals

DUBAI Drink Technology Expo (DDTE) is the main event for the beverage industry in the Middle East and African region. The show is a platform for beverage manufacturers to present up-to-date technologies and system solutions for the entire production chain of non-alcoholic drinks including carbonated, fruit juices, bottled water, energy and sports drinks, milk and dairy products, functional drinks RTD (ready to drink), tea and coffee.

The show will be an opportunity for more than 200 major international beverage and machinery companies to meet 10,000 professionals of the regional beverage industry at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre which is scheduled from December 4 to 6, 2012. DDTE is the region’s biggest exhibition for interacting with major beverage producers and an opportunity for retailers to learn about the newest market developments and current trends in beverage technology.

What to expect

DDTE is one of the most important trade shows held in Dubai. It plays a key role in the transfer of technology, expertise and innovations in one of the most important industries. It is an added benefit for technology owners, suppliers and manufacturers as well as potential investors in the industry. The expo will comprise a number of international pavilions to display the new production machinery and equipment, process and quality control instruments, storage, transport and handling services associated with the industry.

On the three-day event, seminars and workshops will be held on topics that include water technology, beverage packaging and energy and utilities. These will be facilitated by experts from VLB Berlin, a leading institute for research and service for the beverage industry based in Germany. Speakers will be Dr Roland Folz on the topic of energy management systems; Dr Denize Bilde on water and energy savings in tank cleaning and packaging; and Dr Ing Roland Pahl on modern packaging of beverages.

Exhibitor profile

Most sectors of the beverage industry are represented at the show, including drinks manufacturers and distributors; suppliers of raw beverage materials; makers of dispensing and cooling systems, vending machines; distributors of cleaning and filling systems for bottles and containers; packaging companies; suppliers of degassing and carbonation equipment, dosing and mixing systems, and homogenising systems, as well as trading associations. Last year, 220 exhibitors took part in the show, 160 of which were international participants.

Well-attended event

In 2011, the show was attended by 7500 visitors, with 60% coming from the GCC, 11% from MENA region, 10% each from Asia and Africa, 6% from Europe and 3% from ΠΑΙΔΙΚΑ ΠΑΠΟΥΤΣΙΑ
