RESTON, Virginia, USA — DuPont has signed on as sponsor of the Conference at PACK EXPO education program, announced the event owner and producer PMMI. The conference runs 29–31 October, concurrently with PACK EXPO, which will be at McCormick Place in Chicago from 28–31 October

The Conference at PACK EXPO is one primary building block in trade event’s customer-centric agenda, and DuPont’s sponsorship strengthens it even further, said PMMI president & CEO Charles D. Yuska. “This year’s conference theme is Educate. Innovate. Advance,” Mr Yuska said, “and DuPont’s reputation as an innovator complements and strengthens that statement.”

“Insights into important trends and issues, such as food security, gained at the Conference will help further innovation in the packaging industry,” said Jon Kemp, North America marketing and sales director for DuPont Packaging. “And the fact that PMMI has partnered with other organisations in the programming reflects DuPont's own belief that collaboration amongst organisations is the best way to accelerate progress.”

To generate programming relevant to the customers attending the show and conference, PMMI turned to partner organisations to craft and present the sessions.

“In addition to the sponsorship by DuPont, our conference partners have created programs that offer attendees unrivalled professional development and business insight opportunities,” Mr Yuska said.

These conference partners include the Alliance for Innovation & Operational Excellence (AIOE), the Association for Automatic Identification and Mobility (AIM), the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP), the International Society of Beverage Technologists (ISBT), PAC - The Packaging Association, PMMI U, and the Reusable Packaging Association (RPA).

Session tracks focus on topics in the following areas:

  • Food Safety/Product Security
  • Sustainability/Packaging Materials
  • Pharmaceutical and Medical Device
  • Air Force High
