EAS Strategies, experts in regulation policies in Latin America, will give the key regulatory elements for companies to take into account when planning strategies for the use of health claims in the region, within the framework of its participation at Food Ingredients South America 2016, which will take place in Sao Paulo on August 23-25.
Eugenia Muinelo, Manager, Regulatory Affairs at EAS Strategies in Latin America, will present on August 24 within the conferences on the module about “Government guidelines, harmonization and regulatory trends”. The presentation will be focused on the key regulatory elements to be considered when planning strategies for the use of health claims on strategic markets from the region, which is an essential contribution to companies considering the changing regulatory framework under permanent development.
“The use of health claims is always of interest for the industry. In Latin America, there are some challenges on the harmonization of labels, reason why it is key to understand the regulations of each country when planning trade strategies at regional level,” said Muinelo. “Acknowledging the regulatory updates in the region and identifying the challenges and opportunities in this area are key elements that companies should take into account for strategic use of health claims,” she added.
