Smallholder farmers in East Africa have turned to climate-resilient farming methods to improve crop production, according to a survey published by the CGIARResearch Program on Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security. However, the changes in the methods are not transformative. Rather they are said to be incremental, since high levels of food insecurity are barring farmers from carrying out all the needed changes. The survey was done on 700 farming households in four East African countries.
