An engineer with more than a decade’s experience in industrial, commercial, maritime and military aviation high precision heavy lifting has been appointed by global high-pressure hydraulic technology leader Enerpac as its Integrated Solutions Manager for SE Asia.

Mr Maxim Lee will work closely with Enerpac Territory Managers and Distributors throughout SE Asia to provide solutions for heavy and complex lifting, shifting and positioning projects, says Mr Joseph Wang, Managing Director, Enerpac SE Asia, which is headquartered in Singapore and operates through a strong regional network of branches and service centers (covering Brunei, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam).

Mr Lee’s experience spans heavy lifting and process automation engineering sales and support across such industries as heavy duty overhead cranes in applications for power generation, steel making, waste-to-energy, heavy manufacturing, pulp and paper, military aviation, container shipping, depots and intermodal terminals.

After commencing his career as a project engineer (aircraft) with the Defense Science and Technology Agency in Singapore, Mr Lee (BE Mech) has worked for one of the world’s leading lifting technology manufacturing and servicing  organizations and for a global cargo handling technology organization  operating in more than 50 countries. He has also maintained links with military heavy lift aviation as part of his ongoing interest in moving bigger and heavier objects safely by air, sea and overland.

“Maxim Lee’s experience encompasses market leaders in SE Asia’s leading industrial, commercial, materials handling and infrastructure sectors, which are the major markets for IS,” said Mr Wang. “He has the industry knowledge and experience to offer great value to customers seeking the safest and most cost-efficient ways to handle challenging projects including movement and positioning of huge machinery and plant.”

Mr Lee recently completed a training program in the usage of Enerpac gantries, skidding systems, strand jack systems, EVO and SyncHoist. This synchronized lifting technology can precisely lift, shift and position massive structures weighing tens of thousands of tons.

“My focus as IS Manager will be on integrating innovative new methods and advanced Enerpac technology into new and existing projects, in areas such as infrastructure, heavy manufacturing, minerals, metals, oil and gas, power generation, construction, waste-to-energy and safety” said Mr Lee.

“I will also work closely with our well established Enerpac Territory Manager network and our outstanding Distributor network to ensure they are ideally equipped with service and technical support for their customers to ensure Enerpac Integrated Solutions can assist them to perform complex tasks more safely and efficiently,” he said.

One of the IS technologies Mr Lee will be presenting is the SBL1100 compact gantry lift system. The SBL1100 fits within standard (20ft) containers with folded boom and is used to lift and position heavy loads in applications where traditional cranes will not fit or may not be suitable and where permanent overhead structures for job cranes are not an option, such as hard stand pads on mine sites.

“Enerpac’s diverse technologies – ranging from gantries to huge multi-point synchronous hydraulic lifts - are capable of taking on the most challenging projects in the world, whilst also allowing for custom-made solutions to suit individual customer’s needs,” said Mr Lee.

Enerpac technologies range from new generation lifting, pumping, fastening and maintenance tools, through to entire Enerpac Integrated Solutions projects dedicated to lifting, shifting and maneuvering some of the world’s heaviest and most challenging objects and structures.
