ENGEL launches 3 fully electric machines

Fully electric machines are becoming increasingly dominant in the demanding medical technology and packaging market segments. In this market segment electric machines are ousting hydraulic machines with a memory. Thus, ENGEL launched fully electric e-motion machines with a high level of productivity hitherto unachieved by electric machines. The new ENGEL e-cap was specially optimised for the manufacture of closure caps. It is capable of producing 130,000 closure caps per hour in a cycle time of 2.7 seconds and a 96-cavity mould from Sch?ttli. Productivity in the medical technology field has been pushed with ENGEL e-motion 1340/280 T used for the production of a petri dish. The machine is capable of producing petri dish with a cycle time of less than 3.7 seconds using an 8+8-cavity mould. An ENGEL e-motion 740H/440M/280 T cube is geared for the production of a ready-to-fill tube including a PP cap with a 4-cavity mould in a cycle time of 12.5 seconds.
