EQUATE named one of Top Middle East Green firms

Affirming its environmental excellence, EQUATE was named part of “The Middle East’s Top Green Companies by Gulf Business magazine.

As Kuwait’s top green company, EQUATE is a petrochemicals producer which has launched the Gulf state’s first Green Carbon Project for carbon dioxide recovery valued at over $65 million with the capacity of 150,000 tonnes annually.

In addition, EQUATE also launched Middle East’s first Water Recycled Project through its plant, and also pioneered in other initiatives.

Established in 1995, EQUATE is an international joint venture between Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC), The Dow Chemical Company (Dow), Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPC) and Qurain Petrochemical Industries Company (QPIC). Commencing production in 1997, EQUATE is the single operator of a fully integrated world-scale manufacturing facility producing over 5 million tons annually of high-quality petrochemical products which are marketed throughout the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe
