Erhardt+Leimer, AVT seal strategic alliance agreement

WEB-BASED industries system solutions and process control equipment leader Erhardt+Leimer and AVT (Advanced Vision Technology), a specialist in print inspection, print process control and quality assurance, have recently signed and closed an alliance agreement.

The agreement will enable both companies to offer a wider portfolio of integrated automation solutions, in particular the Helios and NyScan solutions, for the printing and converting industries, as well as improve service to customers such as end users and OEMs.

In a first development after the sealing of the agreement and as announced by the companies in June 2015, AVT will acquire Erhardt+Leimer ’s automatic print inspection solutions. It will oversee the development and management of these solutions for both companies’ customers in the Label and Packaging applications, including the corrugated segment.

Erhardt+Leimer will be entitled to future earn outs and a cash payment per the set terms. Company CEO Dr Michael Proeller will serve as chairman of AVT’s Advisory Board and will be an observer on its Board of Directors.
