The Ethiopia Commodity Exchange coffee laboratory is the first in Africa to meet the U.S standard in coffee

The Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX) coffee laboratory is the first in Africa to meet the stringent quality standards of the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA).

The SCAA Laboratory Inspection & Certification Programme serves to recognise, promote and develop specialty coffee. The certification ensures that coffee is tested, graded and evaluated through lab inspections that guarantee word-class consistency in the evaluation of specialty coffee.
