EU stevia expert joins Global Stevia Corp

AN ARCHITECT of the in vitro propagation of stevia, Dr Yaroslav Shevchenko, has joined Global Stevia Corp Inc. (OTCBB: GSTV) as the newest member of its scientific team. Dr Shevchenko has a PhD from Humboldt University in Berlin where he developed the technique, and has secured a position as a research associate at the Technical University of Berlin. He established several unique and highly productive in vitro root cultures, including the development of a “sprout culture” technique for stevia, resulting in a rapid propagation method. Dr Shevchenko is now studying stevia for its secondary metabolism applications, including its antioxidant properties.Global Stevia is a management company that speciliases in the development and distribution of premium stevia, focusing on agronomics.
