FDA-approved precleaner for conveyor belt

FLEXCO has added the FGP Food Grade Precleaner to its line of light-duty belt conveyor products ranging from 4 to 60 inches (100 to 1500mm).

The cleaner is made of stainless steel components and designed without crevices where bacteria can grow.

Approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the new cleaner complies with strict sanitary guidelines, and is most suitable for processing meat, poultry or dairy, from harvest to finished product. The cleaner may also be used for bakery, confectionery, and vegetable and fruit processing. It is compatible with endless or mechanical splices.

According to Flexco, the cleaner assembles and disassembles easily for regular cleaning and sanitation. The blades can be sanitized or replaced without taking down the cleaner.  They are made of UHMW PE and UHMWPE with stainless steel, and come in sizes for conveyor belt widths ranging from 12 to 60 inches (300 to 1500mm). They are available in white, blue, and metal detectable gray.
