Feng Ping workers arrested for holding protest

A number of workers from American mold maker Feng Ping Tooling & Plastics Mfg. Co. Ltd.'s Dongguan plant were arrested while holding protest. The workers were reportedly trying to block traffic outside their factory in opposition to what they claimed as unfair wage settlement.

Feng Ping declared bankruptcy on Dec. 16 and closed its operations as a result of the multi-million embezzlement scheme by its former manager and other employees. The company is now on its ways to liquidating the factory and other assets to pay off its debts.

The supposed payout to workers was not met with satisfaction as workers demand the payment of back pay and severance pay which workers believe they should receive for every year they worked at the company.
