Fi Asia 2013: Ingredion shares sustainable practices

While at the show, Ingredion shares how the company's practices bring value to its customers, suppliers and communities. Ingredion has an established tapioca supply chain in Thailand that it developed over the years. It works with in-country tapioca suppliers as an integral part of its programme. Experienced local teams of technology and agribusiness experts, who work in conjunction with the company's counterparts across the globe, run the supplier programmes. Rishan continued, "Ingredion is acutely aware of its important relationship with the tapioca industry, and is unwavering in its support and leadership in tapioca sourcing."

To that end, Ingredion has a robust local programme that actively involves communities and schools in and around the location of its factories to support development, ranging from basic training on fire fighting, to sponsoring upkeep and maintenance at local schools. The partnership continues to yield benefits to local communities and to the broader industry.
