The 28th International Machine-Tool Exhibition is to focus on large machines, advanced technologies and interesting prospects for doing business. As the sales campaign nears its end, the event's claim of "Think Big, Think BIEMH" has shown itself to be perfectly in tune with the approach that firms in the sector are currently taking. A total of 940 exhibitors have already signed up for the event, to show the world their new products, based on innovations and high-level specialisation to give extra added value.
The exhibition areas devoted to cutting and forming machines and to tools and accessories will take centre stage once again, as they did in previous years, but the show will also feature other sectors and products such as electrical and electronic equipment, metrology and quality control, welding, flame cutting, robotics, workshop and business services and a section for "other machinery and equipment". The final layouts of four exhibition halls have already been drawn up, with a total surface area of almost 70,000 m2.
As the market is moving in the right direction and the pace of the recovery gradually increases, registration for the event is going well, and the prospects for the last few months are good. With four months to go before the event, which is scheduled for 2-7 June, the figure for participation is around 12% up on the equivalent period prior to the previous edition.
To get as close as possible to the market and make the most of these circumstances, the organisers of the BIEMH have extended the commercial potential of the event by adding preliminary meetings that will bring together manufacturers, distributors, users and purchasers from 20 March onwards. The next meetings are scheduled to take place in Oporto, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Madrid and Seville.

The presence of international purchasers, coordinated via the BEC’s hosted buyer delegation programme, is another point which is highly rated by exhibitors at the event.
