The COMEXPOSIUM Group, one of the organisers of SIAL Paris, has partnered with the Manila Foods and Beverages Expo (MAFBEX), a leading food exhibition in the Philippines, to bring the first SIAL ASEAN to the region.
The ASEAN is no. 3 trading partner for the European Union, after the United States and China. It is in this high-growth geographic region that the COMEXPOSIUM group decided with its partners to create SIAL ASEAN in Manila. Immersed in a western culture, the Philippines have substantial assets: the strong growth of ASEAN, i.e. +6.6% per year, nearly 100 million inhabitants, no. 3 ASEAN food market and optimum conditions to welcome foreign travellers. The event expects some 800 exhibitors and over 15,000 visitors.
MAFBEX is attended by more than 50, 000 visitors. Aside from local manufacturers, participants come from Europe, the United States, Taiwan, Malaysia, Japan, and South Korea. Organised by the WorldBex Services International (WSI) event management company in the Philippines, it is scheduled from 11-15 June 2014, whilst SIAL ASEAN takes place from 11-13 June 2014, at the World Trade Centre.
