SINGAPORE -- Flexy Vacuum Cups, a Singapore-based sales and marketing company specialising in industrial polyurethane vacuum cups from 30 shore A up to 75 shore A, is celebrating its first anniversary this year. It has also launched the new “Flexy Gripper” cups and “Flexy Traction” cups.
Klas ?hman, managing director of Flexy Vacuum Cups, started the company last year after working 15 years at PIAB, one of Europe’s leading international vacuum technology companies.
Polyurethane vacuum cups are widely used in automated automobile assembly plants, labelling and printing, packaging, medical and pharmaceutical manufacturing, materials handling and many other industrial applications where pick-and-place methods are employed.
By manufacturing his vacuum cups in emerging countries and utilising a superior "CombiFlex" compound, Mr ?hman said he could offer a lower price at similar quality than his competitors.
His company has a unique process of bonding different hardness together, so that customers can get a firm bellow/body in combination with a soft lip. This makes the cups stable and durable with excellent sealing properties, Mr ?hman also said.
“The feedback from customers is very good. We can compete very well on price and quality. I am now looking for more direct customers in addition to using distributors,” he said.
