Adelphi's products are used all over the world in industries ranging from agrochemicals and oil to food and pharmaceuticals. Its established range of filling and capping machinery serves the needs of the small independent producer right through to the major internationals. The UK-based manufacturer has been exporting to Africa for over 45 years and has already sent three complete lube oil lines to Nigeria in the first quarter of 2012, and the order book shows more of the same for the rest of the year. Having firmly established itself in the African lube oil sector, the company is keen to build on its experience and seeks new customers, particularly in the agrochemical and food & beverage industries.

Bench-top machines

Ten years ago, Adelphi developed the Response. As an industry leading bench-top filler, it is ideal for use with liquids, creams, and difficult pastes and has an extremely accurate fill range of 3 mL to 1 L. Subsequent enhancements have included a “twin-head" option, ideal for increasing output without having to invest in a new machine, and an “automation base" that enables up to four Response machines to be seamlessly linked together to form a fully automated filling line. The key benefit to the end user is simply that the Response range can grow with the needs of the user, at very low cost, and without making old Responses redundant. A fringe benefit is that the automated line can be separated down to four individual machines very easily and therefore gives the end user great flexibility from day to day.

Fully automated lines

At the other end of the scale, Adelphi offers its Masterfil range of fully automated in-line fillers and single- or multi-head cappers. These rugged machines are ideal for use with oils and agrochemicals, fill up to 5 L in one shot, and can be supplied as part of a fully integrated turnkey line if required. The rugged design, reliability, and accuracy are keys to the success enjoyed by the Masterfil range in Africa and the Middle East. In addition, Adelphi's after-sales support is impressive, with its engineers regularly travelling around the world servicing customers' machines and ensuring that they continue to perform to the highest standard. There are many Masterfil machines out there that are still working efficiently 20 years after purchase.
