The future of packaging at ProSweets 2016

CROWN Aerosols and Specialty Packaging Europe will showcase an exclusive preview of the future of packaging for sweets and snacks manufacturers at ProSweets 2016.

Crown Aerosols, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc, has its booth at Hall 10.1, Stand J010 where its representatives will be demonstrating some of the company’s latest technologies for confectionery products, including:

• Crown’s capability to add LED lighting to packaging, for a striking and unique look to seasonal, limited edition and premium biscuits and confectionery products. This is a standout feature on store shelves.
• GiftTag™ technology allows a video message to be embedded onto packaging using a QR code. It enables recipients to view personalized greetings on their mobile devices.

Crown will present recent solutions for confectionery products, including:

• The newly extended Seated End range which now includes both a rectangular and a round shaped tin. An in-house design using Crown’s custom tooling and machines developed for the manufacturing process, makes the curled seam at the base of a decorative tin invisible when placed on a flat surface, resulting in a more robust container with pure lines.
• New samples will be on display highlighting Crown’s additional shaping, printing and finishing capabilities that support brands in premiumizing their products to ensure they can continue to compete in a crowded biscuits and confectionery market.

Besides these technologies, Crown will present its comprehensive technical service solutions to support customers through the design and production of new packaging – the entire creative process right up to the rolling out of the finished products. All of the products made by CROWN Aerosol and Specialty Packaging Europe are produced in Europe, not only providing a reliable supply chain for packaging, but also helping to accelerate time to market.
