Gerresheimer raises capacity for medical plastic systems

Gerresheimer AG, one of the world's leading partners of the pharma and healthcare industry, is extending its production capacity for medical plastic systems at its state-of-the-art Czech plant in Horsovsky Tyn. The production area is being increased by an additional 3,500 sq.m. Gerresheimer is investing around EUR 18 million in the project at Horsovsky Tyn and it will create around 200 additional jobs over the next two years. Global demand for simple and safe products for the precise dosage and administration of medications such as asthma inhalers and insulin pens is on the rise. Gerresheimer’s Plastic Systems Division is one of the world leaders in this field and the significant extension to its Czech plant will enable the company to meet growing demand. Construction work will commence this year and is scheduled to conclude in 2013.
