Using its co-operation with Meyn (Netherlands) the company can offer complete factory solutions for whole birds and cutups. Working with other suppliers and utilizing its global experience in project management, Ishida can offer wall-to-wall processing and packing solutions for meat, poultry, fish, salad, frit, fresh produce and ready meals, with the majority of the weighing, packing and inspection equipment produced in-house. Meanwhile, it can deploy its experience to offer fill weighing, packing, quality and inspection solutions for dry and frozen food.

“At Ishida, we expect a general upturn in investment activity in 2016. This is a complex interplay of factors and is region-to-region and sector-to-sector specific but the general trend is positive. Ishida is seen as a global player in the food packing automation industry that can offer food manufacturers and –packers real financial benefits; in particular if an investment payback is measured across the lifetime of the equipment use. We are gearing up production capacities to cope with the estimated increase in demand, looking at further reducing lead times and constantly seeking to enhance our products,” Mr Giese said.

With a broad market in the Middle East region, the company is a regular exhibitor at big events such Gulfood Manufacturing. Torsten Giese, Marketing Manager of PR & Exhibitions at Ishida Europe said: “Response at the recent Gulfood event was excellent. We had approximately 250 leads and nearly ten orders on the stand. Top territories were Saudi Arabia, Egypt and United Arab Emirates. People liked the fact that most of the products we showed reflected their current automation needs.”

Mr Giese said that such events do not reflect the global industry but help the Middle East region as these work as networking events, learning events (conferences) and an innovation fora for the latest automation solutions.
