GNT experts to present clear label solutions at Fi Asia

Pioneer and market leader GNT will showcase its EXBERRY® brand of coloring fruit and vegetable concentrates

BASED on consumer behavior studies, the appearance of food and beverage is a major factor in buying decisions. Colors can either attract or repel a shopper from purchasing a product. Research also shows that today’s consumers prefer natural food and beverages that do not contain artificial additives such as colorants.

According to a study conducted by market research institute TNS on behalf of GNT Group, 60% of consumers worldwide wish for products to be free from synthetic colors. In Asia, about 74% feel the same.

According to Victor Foo, general manager, the trend is moving toward clear label in Asia. "Label where they (consumer) can look before deciding what they want to buy, and understand what is in the product. Ingredients they can read and understand."

At Food Ingredients Asia 2015, GNT experts will explain how manufacturers can provide products that are both attractively colored and natural at the same time. The company will be at stand F17, Hall 103 to demonstrate its latest color-intensive fruit, vegetable and plant concentrates made exclusively from natural and edible raw materials.

Furthermore, while enjoying lemonade colored with EXBERRY®, visitors can get a playful insight into the world of Colouring Foods by the GNT game “The EXBERRY® experience” showing the physical production process of Colouring Foods.
