GNT presents natural colour solutions at Fi Asia 2014

GNT GROUP, pioneer and leading provider of Colouring Foods, is amongst exhibitors at Fi Asia which is being held from 15-17 October in Jakarta, Indonesia. At booth N17, the Netherlands-based company is presenting innovative colour solutions made from natural sources. It also aims to provide food and beverage manufacturers with market information. Company experts will be available to advise on aspects of colouring including stability and shelf life, as well as on regulatory matters, strategic product development and the transition from additive colours to Colouring Foods.

Solely based on physical processes and without the use of any chemical solvents or additives, GNT produces the largest range of colouring foods on the market, covering more than 400 different colour shades. Today the concentrates, marketed under the brand name EXBERRY?, can be found in over 25 billion food or beverage servings per year, meaning that theoretically every person on earth annually consumes 3.5 portions per year that contain GNT’s Colouring Foods. Robust demand for colouring

The worldwide demand for Colouring Foods is constantly increasing. Main drivers are the consumers’ desire for more natural, additive-free products and legal regulations like the European Guidance notes on the classification of food extracts with colouring properties. According to them, Colouring Foods are not additives but food ingredients. As opposed to colourants, they neither need legal permission nor have to be labelled with the appropriate E number or the name of the colour. As all products placed on the European market after 29 November 2015 have to be in line with the Guidance notes, they are of particular importance to food and beverage manufacturers in the ASEAN-Region that export to the EU.
