Golden State Foods acquires NZ salad greens provider

GOLDEN State Foods (GSF) is a diversified food processor and distributor to the quick service restaurant industry in the United States. It recently acquired Snap Fresh Foods, a New Zealand supplier of salad greens, vegetable mixes, baby-peeled carrots, fresh sprouts, dressings and condiments.

Snap Fresh Foods has two local facilities and is known as the first salad company to achieve carboNZero certification, an international accredited greenhouse gas certification programme. It exports to China and the rest of the region. Its retail brands include Krispkut, Farmer Bill's, Dashboard Diner, Salad Shakes and Sproutman. With the purchase of the company, GSF will acquire the processing assets of these brands.  Farm suppliers, meanwhile, will continue with existing operations and contract exclusively to GSF.
