SINGAPORE – Continuing the legacy of bringing health to everyday life, DuPont Nutrition & Health will promote the unique dental benefits of xylitol at the FDI Annual World Dental Congress this coming August in Hong Kong.
Branded as ‘XIVIA’ under the DuPont? Danisco?range of products, xylitol is a naturally occurring polyol. As a specialty sweetener, xylitol is is widely approved and extensively used in chewing gum, confectionery, oral hygiene and pharmaceutical products. It is recognised by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) to play an active role in reducing dental plaque.
The unique dental benefits of XIVIA, backed by strong science and clinical trials, have led to recommendations by numerous dental associations around the world. Visitors will be able to find out more about how XIVIA works to act against tooth decay, amongst many other dental benefits at the DuPont Nutrition & Health stand. There will also be refreshing peppermint chewing gum available for visitors to sample.
For those who are environmentally aware, they can also learn how the company commits to reduce the global carbon footprint by producing XIVIA from a sustainable wood source.
