Government nod for eight steel projects

Express News Service reported that State Level Single Window Clearance Authority on Monday cleared nine investment proposals worth INR 1920.82 crore.
The SLSWCA headed by Chief Secretary Jugal Kishore Mohapatra approved eight steel projects and a rail linked container terminal having direct employment potential for 1,873 persons.

In addition to this, another proposal of Container Corporation of India Ltd for development of rail linked container terminal and multi modal logistic park with proposed investment of INR 70 crore also received the Authority’s approval.

After the meeting, IPICOL CMD Mr G Mathivathanan told reporters that the industrial units cleared in principle by SLSWCA include proposals of SKJ Ispat which proposed to set up 0.60 million tonne per annum pellet plant at Didhakundi village under Champua tehsil of Keonjhar district with investment of INR 133 crore.

Arya Integrated Steel Pvt Ltd has submitted a proposal of 0.30 million tonne per annum steel plant at Malada and Dhanurjayapur villages under Barbil tehsil of Keonjhar district with proposed investment of INR 546 crore.

KK Pellets Pvt Ltd plans to set up 0.60 million tonne per annum plant at Sairapenth Mahadeijoda of Keonjhar district with proposed investment of around INR 159 crore, Fortune Iron & Steel Ltd for a 0.60 million tonne per annum pellet plant at Haridajodi under Jhumpura tehsil of Keonjhar district with an investment of INR 123 crore and Sushant Minerals Pvt Ltd to set up 1.20 million tonne per annum iron ore pelletisation plant at Sana Indupur and Bada Indupur under Koida tehsil of Sundargarh district with investment proposal of INR 220 crore.
