Greentelligence in the spotlight at HANNOVER MESSE 2012

HANNOVER MESSE's 'greentelligence' theme reflects the re-thinking at small and medium enterprises alike worldwide on how they do business facing spiraling raw materials costs, fierce competition for scarce resources, high energy costs.

HANNOVER MESSE 2012 runs from 23 to 27 April. Over those five days, companies from around the globe will explore current industry trends in the pivotal fields of automation, energy technology, industrial supply and subcontracting services and R&D. The HANNOVER MESSE 2012 lineup will also feature IndustrialGreenTec , a new trade fair dedicated to pioneering ideas and market-ready products in the field of environmental technology and sustainability. The new trade fair will give manufacturing companies something they've never had before: a dedicated international showcase for the products and processes needed for eco-friendly and sustainable manufacturing.

HANNOVER MESSE's Industrial Automation fair will also be staged under the "greentelligence" banner. The Digital Factory fair is likewise a trailblazer for efficient production and process chain efficiency, delivering the intelligent IT solutions needed for manufacturing products in a sustainable way.

The Energy and MobiliTec fairs are "greentelligence" events through and through, dedicated, as they are, to themes such as eMobility, renewable energy production and the development of high-tech solutions for cleaner production in conventional power stations.

With its chosen lead theme of "Green + Intelligence", the official Partner Country at HANNOVER MESSE 2012, China, will also be placing major emphasis on "greentelligent" solutions. According to Gu Chao, Director-General of the Exhibition Department of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Chinese companies and research institutions exhibiting in Hannover in April 2012 will profile innovative projects from many areas, including sustainable energy production, intelligent energy grids and green technology.
