GTIEC: Great location for TMTS 2012

The Greater Taichung International Expo Center, GTIEC was chosen to host TMTS this year. This is a great location for the exhibition with convenient public transportation it takes 5 minutes to reach the show ground from the Taichung high speed rail station. From the high speed rail station at Taichung, you can reach Taoyuan International Airport and other major cities under 50 minutes. Besides the nearby High Speed Rail Station and Taiwan Railway Station, the show ground is close to the national high way, the transportation network can take you anywhere, and near the show ground there are more than 5,000 parking spaces. For those arrive by car, we provide a free shuttle bus service from the surrounding parking areas to the show ground. The Taiwan machine tool industry is a very special industry cluster; it has the advantages of a unique supply chain system unmatched worldwide. Within a 60 kilometer radius, all the precision parts and accessories needed for machine tool manufacturing can be obtained quickly. The production value of Taiwan tools and accessories was up to US$4 billion in 2011, and when compared with 2010 it has grown 38%. The export amount was US$1.37 billion, a 45% increase from 2010. Taiwan’s main exporting markets are as follows: China, Japan, Korea, Germany, Hong Kong, the United States, Italy, India, Brazil, and Thailand etc. Because of increasing global competition, Taiwan’s high-quality and affordable accessories for machine tools have made Taiwan the third largest supplier in the world providing such components as Linear Guides, Ball Screws, Spindles, Tool Turrets for Lathe, Chuck, Index Tables, Cooler, Bellow Covers, Tool Magazines for various types of Tool Holders, Cutting Tools etc. supplying the needs of manufacturing machine tools globally.  The last Taiwan International Machine Tool Show had 51,000 visitors and 1,103 professional buyers from Taiwan and 41 countries including Germany, Britain, the United States, Australia, Ireland, Portugal, Turkey, China, Korea, Japan, Russia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Saudi-Arabia, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Malaysia, Brazil, Mexico etc.
