MANAMA – The fifth Gulf Industry Fair was officially opened on 7th February by His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa (above, centre), Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, at the Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC).
More than 100 exhibitors from 21 countries are showcasing their products, services and capabilities until Thursday 9 February, representing the key sectors of Aluminium; Energy and Environmental Protection; Industrial Processes and Manufacturing; Industrial Security and Safety; Ports, Logistics and Free Zones; Steel and Alloys and Training for Industry.
Organised by Bahrain-based Hilal Conferences & Exhibitions (HCE), Gulf Industry Fair is the leading business-to-business (B2B) exhibition of its type in the Northern Gulf. It is held as countries in the region expand their industrial bases to further diversify their economies.
HCE managing director Jubran Abdulrahman said: “Gulf Industry Fair takes place in an environment of industrial investment and promotion in the GCC. The annual show, being held in Bahrain, encapsulates the vibrancy of the region’s increasingly diverse industrial landscape, and the show’s continued success sends a strong message about underlying confidence in GCC industry.”
The exhibition is open to trade and business visitors from 10am to 7pm on Wednesday 8 February and Thursday 9 February.
The Fair’s strategic sponsors include Bahrain’s National Oil & Gas Authority (Noga) in association with the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco); Aluminium Bahrain (Alba), one of the world’s largest aluminium smelters; British Offset and The General Organisation of Sea Ports Bahrain (GOP), Bahrain’s maritime regulator. Supporting organisations include the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce, British Expertise, the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce, The Gulf Aluminium Council and Machinery Trade International.
