Haas Group showcases baked products at IBA

THE Haas Group will present baked products made from its extensive range of equipment at the IBA fair, which takes place in Munich from 12 to 17 September 2015.

The Group will show off the strength of its four companies—Haas-Meincke, CFT Haas Convenience Food Equipment, Haas-Mondomix, and Franz Haas Wafer—during the six-day international trade event.  At booth 131 in hall A6, more than 120 end-products in the ideation tunnel will bring visitors’ ideas about spicy, sweet, and salty products, to life.

Center-filled cakes in panda shape

For the first time, the company will demonstrate how baked center-filled cakes can be made using its innovative production line.

Center-filled cakes, which originated in Asia are made from fluffy sponge cake batter and injected with different kinds of filling. These cakes may be classified not only as sweets but energy-rich sports or healthy snacks as well, and are becoming increasingly popular among children. They may come in special forms, including animals, apples, or even custom shapes and sizes for promotional purposes. The end product can weigh up to 45g.

The Haas Group will also feature a live baking show of hollow wafer sticks and pillow-shaped versions sticks with aerated cream. The hollow wafer sticks will feature blueberry stripes to match the IBA blue.

In addition to different flavors, the crunchy wafer sticks can be made with up to three color stripes. Their maximum length is 39cm. These wafer sticks are often dipped into chocolate, filled with cream, and decorated or glazed.

The company's pillow-shaped wafer sticks are closed wafer sticks filled with a sweet or savory filling such as cheese. These can be twisted into a loop, flat pressed, reverse rolled, or filled with aerated chocolate.

The production lines from Franz Haas enable the use of two different fillings and/or multicolored products. The machines will allow manufacturers, including market entrants, to work on a variety of products and heating options such as gas or induction.
