Hanzhong Steel completes hot test on steel bar production project

A successful hot run test was carried out on July 28 on the new steel bar production facilities of Shaanxi Province-based Chinese steel producer Hanzhong Iron and Steel Co. (Hanzhong Steel), a subsidiary of Shaanxi Steel Group, as announced by Beijing-based state-owned China Metallurgical Group Co. (MCC) on July 30. The new production facilities were built by MCC subsidiary Hubei-based China First Metallurgical Group Co.

Hanzhong Steel’s steel bar project, located in Hanzhong in Shaanxi, consists of two continuous bar rolling lines, with an overall annual output capacity of 1.6 million mt. Construction work on the project commenced on May 30 and was completed within two months.
