The only dedicated food processing trade event in the MEASA region hosts over 1,100 international machinery, equipment, product and service suppliers from 52 countries

GULFOOD Manufacturing made a successful opening on 9 November 2014, with Her Excellency Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, Minister of International Cooperation and Development, at the ribbon cutting. With her were His Excellency Helal Saeed Almarri, Director General, Department of Tourism & Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and CEO, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), His Excellency Abdul Rahman Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and other leading UAE business chiefs and VVIPs.

The three-day event covers the needs of the entire food industry, with exhibitions broken down into sectors namely the Food Logistics Middle East, ProPack Middle East and Ingredients Middle East – which together has drawn more than 1,100 international machinery, equipment, product and service suppliers from 52 countries to DWTC. At these consolidated events, multinational food producers will be able to explore the Middle East, Africa and South East Asia (MEASA) market, and regional food manufacturers will be able to source the latest ingredients, processing machinery, packaging equipment and logistics, warehousing and cold chain solutions to replace and upgrade production line equipment and enable faster, cheaper and cost-effective production of safer and more reliable products.

Hosted Buyer Programme

With 24 official country pavilions spread across the show-floor, Gulfood Manufacturing rolls out the Hosted Buyer Programme, an initiative highlighting the region’s expanding F&B manufacturing and production infrastructure, to influential buyers from countries including Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Egypt, Turkey, South Africa, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Libya, Iran and Nigeria amongst others.

Food & Beverage Industrial Investment Summit

The two-day Food & Beverage Industrial Investment Summit is a strategic investment event for overseas investors and multinational corporations to explore economic, market and manufacturing opportunities across MEASA. At the end of this conference, attendees leave with a better understanding of the financial, legal, logistics, cold chain and technology benefits of locating or expanding existing operations in the region.

Bakery Innovations Summit

For the bakery sector, the specialist two-day Bakery Innovations Summit will be presented by Knowledge Partner, Bakery Initiatives of the Netherlands. Another is the Food Factory of the Future showcases trailblazing food manufacturing technologies as presented by Germany’s United Food Technology (UFT).

Speciality Food Festival, SEAFEX

The Speciality Food Festival, SEAFEX, and Sweets and Snacks Middle East - DWTC’s annual trio of niche food shows – and the co-located World of Perishables Dubai 2014 and Dubai Municipality’s Dubai International Food Safety Conference also opened on the same day.
