DESIGNED to detect registration marks, leading edge, small or thin features, and small contrast changes, the Q3X high-speed contrast laser sensor detects parts with low reflectivity differences. The model from Banner Engineering can capture up to 2,000 events per second and features a response speed of up to 250 µs.
A visible laser beam allows easy alignment and precise detection over up to 300mm sensing ranges. A fixed background suppression distance enables the sensor to ignore problematic backgrounds on select models.

The unit has robust ambient light resistance. It has an easy-to-view three-digit display capable of delivering real-time feedback on a bright output indicator. Two tactile buttons below the display enable intuitive setup routines for presence-absence and orientation applications.
A rugged nickel-plated zinc housing complies with IP67, IP68, and IP69K standards for use in harsh environments.
