HK Laser positive keen on establishing brand in Indonesia

Mr. Steven Um is the Deputy General Manager of the Overseas Sales Team in HK Laser & Systems. The company is headquartered in South Korea and has set up branches in USA, China, Turkey and Taiwan, as well as a network of dealers globally.

He describes HK Laser & Systems as one of the leading manufacturers in the field of high power laser cutting machine. The company is at the beginning stage in Indonesia and it is their first time exhibiting at the Manufacturing Indonesia exhibition. They showcased their high-end, high-performance system to this market, the latest technology they have. He introduced their first-to-launch fiber laser system product, the PS3015 Fiber 3KW. This product is the ultrahigh speed standard type with the best feeding and cutting speed features by ultralight cutting bridge. It maximized cutting stability by high strength main frame. This machine was sold to Indonesian company during the exhibition.

He further explained that fiber laser cutting systems are mostly using the same source, same cutting head, similar functions and structures, etc., but the important feature that distinguished machines in sheet metal cutting is the system application. HK Laser and Systems is using their original line, the latest technology Han Kwang systems that are always updated and advanced. They have produced more than 2000 laser systems in the 25 years since the company’s founding, and equipped with market knowledge, knowing what the customer wants, and have the systems that can be customized depending on customer’s requirements.

The company manufactures their products in South Korea and exports to various parts of the world. HK Lasers & Systems has established a partnership with local Indonesian company PT Rajatec Nusantara as point of sales and distributor, as well as aftersales service and maintenance. Mr. Steven explicated that they are currently providing trainings to the local distributor as part of their extensive learning and development courses. Furthermore, the company invested 20% of their revenue annually, for research and development.

The company is targeting the whole Asian market to expand to, and particularly when the ASEAN manufacturing market is getting more and more developed every year. Indonesia has a lot of potential in the manufacturing industry, and the company has set up plan to be more established after the beginning stage. He is optimistic with the Manufacturing Indonesia exhibition series and looking forward to exhibiting again next year.
