Hong Precision: The microdrilling expert

The company expanded its application to aerospace and medical industries.

General Manager Edward Liu stated said that their micro drilling know-how has reached global standards and is capable of competing with Germany and Japan makers, being the only microdrilling machine tool builder in Taiwan.

Mr Liu also shared their positive participation in 2016 International Implantable and Interventional Medical Devices Emerging Technology Application Conference, held by Ringier Trade Media in Suzhou, China. At the conference he was able to exchange constructive knowledge with other participants, while receiving great feedbacks in the implantable medical device session. Mr. Liu emphasised that their machineries always passed the quality control test set by their customers before stepping into a long-term cooperation. It is therefore guaranteed for the users that their defection rate is controlled to the lowest in meeting customers’ request.     

Hong Precision’s equipment can be tailor-made, especially when customer’s factory needs greater integrations (such as modifying gauges and fixtures). Its XL-500A can drill the smallest hole by Ø2mm with the 250mm at depth. Hong Precision’s customers are well spread across the globe, including a Sino-U.S. joint venture medical company.

Hong’s machinery is unique due to its ability to process titanium, stainless steel, as well as other rare materials. In addition, the company has a high in-house manufacturing rate that enabled them to effectively inspect the quality of each work pieces. During the interview, Mr Liu said that “human healthcare” is their core value. This is important as a machine tool manufacturer who produces medical devices. He believes the company ensures a safe and secure quality from the upstream medical field.
