Hypertherm unveils Powermax30 Air

US-BASED plasma, laser, and waterjet cutting systems manufacturer Hypertherm is introducing the Powermax30® Air portable air plasma system.

 

 

The highly versatile new product packs an internal compressor to enable on-the-go cutting anywhere while reducing costs. It supports 30 amps of output and works on both 120V and 240V. Weighing only 13.5kg (30 pounds) and featuring an all-new patent-pending consumable design for optimized airflow, the Powermax30 Air delivers the highest power-to-weight ratio of any system in its class.

 

The portable air plasma system incorporates a proprietary and highly effective moisture removal system for excellent cut quality even in hot and humid conditions. Its ‘Plug-and-Use’ design allows use even in remote and non-industrial environments with just an electrical power point.

 

Harry Mellott, a Hypertherm Powermax specialist, said Hypertherm is setting new performance and portability standards with this new model. 

 

“With a recommended cut capacity of 8 mm (5/16”) and a severance capacity of 16 mm (5/8”), the system can easily and quickly cut a variety of metal types and thicknesses making it a great entry-level cutting tool for a wide variety of applications,” Mr. Mellott said. 

 

The Powermax30 Air system is now available from authorized Hypertherm distributors.
