Industrial Automation Show (IAS) 2012 has been initiated as an annual gathering call for the automation industry, and has received enthusiastic response from leading enterprises at home and abroad.
The show will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Centre from 6-10 November. Under the market pressure resulting from the global economic downturn, enterprises still attach great importance to the brand effect of this “Top Show in Asia”. By increasing their investment in the show, the companies become more competitive in exhibition areas and quality of exhibits. Major brands in the industry will all be present on the site and demonstrate their unique and phenomenal products and technologies in four sectors, namely robotics, industrial automation, electrical systems, and industrial automation information technology & software.

Robots are the biggest highlight of IAS 2012. However, different from the past, the show this year creatively integrates all robot brands into an individual sector, and thus provides a large-scale professional robotic-show in Hall W2 with an area of more than 10,000 square meters, which hits a new record in the history of IAS. Latest industrial robots from leading brands including ABB, Fanuc, Staubli, Yamaha, and GSK will make strong debuts. Kuka, Nachi, Mitsubish, SIASUN and other reputable enterprises will also show up, demonstrating their latest products to the visitors. Both Nachi, a rising Japanese company specializing in multi-axis industrial robots, and SIASUN, the most influential high-end equipment group across the country, participate in this show for the first time, which illustrates the in-depth recognition of the brand value of IAS by the industry. Robotics is the battleground for domestic and foreign exhibitors to compete for the industrial automation market. Foreign brands hope to “snatch” their lost manufacturing industry through robots, while domestic enterprises also need robots to equip the “Made in China” products so as to maintain competitiveness in the global market. The robotics sector at the show not only is the stage for both sides to demonstrate and compete on their strength but also provides opportunities for them to make close contact with a large number of user enterprises.

In the automation product system, the importance of sensors shows up gradually. Sensor products have been used more frequently in various applicable industries, and they are obviously developing into miniaturization, multifunction and intelligence. Numerous sensor manufacturers like P+F, Phoenix, TURCK, Beckhoff, Baumer, Lenze, Weidmuller, Rittal, ELCO and Lanbao will be present at the show with high profile and self-confidence.

The maintaining high international participation has always been one of the important features of IAS, and the corresponding rate exceeds 65% this year. The list of participating foreign brands adds new members. The Austrian trade pavilion will make its debut at the show to conduct in-depth exchanges with domestic visitors and as well organize a promotion conference on Austrian automation industry. The German pavilion further expands its scale to a total exhibition area of 700 square meters. Turkish and other international pavilions will also plan to participate in IAS 2012 on a large scale.

Concurrent forums and seminars include Annual Conference and Components and Instruments Application Symposium 2012, The 11th Seminar on MES (Manufacturing Executive System), International Robotics Automation Symposium, forum of China industrial & automation development trend and prospect. The combination of the exhibition and various conferences expands the service scope of the show, and provides more chances for face-to-face communication between exhibitors and visitors. Both sides can make full use of this platform to discuss the market trends and clarify their respective needs, and thus promote the improvement in the industrial mechanism.

IAS 2012 is jointly organized by Deutsche Messe AG, Hannover Milano Fairs Shanghai Ltd., and Shanghai Eastbest International Trade (Group) Co., Ltd. WNIKE
