AGRO (Shanghai) is leveraging the IAS 2014 platform to promote its Progress? able glands, EMC cable glands, stainless steel cable glands, and pressure balance elements.
A first-time exhibitor at IAS, the company is looking forward to meeting new clients and forging relationships with industry players. It will continue to develop new cable glands for the China market.
Christoph Borer, director of International Sales, is confident that AGRO Progress cable glands will do well in the Chinese robot industry
The Progress cable glands adopt a compression technology that ensures effective sealing, optimal cable-protective strain relief, and high distortion protection. Vibration-proof, they are ideal for rolling stock or dynamic applications such as robotic applications.
The Progress EMC cable glands are designed to protect electrical and electronic systems from EMI. The patented Progress EMC easyCONNECT establishes shield contact with an innovative spring clip with powerful, protective clamping.
The company’s stainless steel cable glands are corrosion-proof. The stainless steel A2 versions can be used in food and chemical industries, while those made of acid-resistant stainless steel A4 are for difficult environmental conditions such as tunnels and offshore zones.
The pressure balance elements, designed to prevent pressure differences, high humidity and condensation of water in the housing, come in three different types. One variant has a water-, oil- and dirt-repellent membrane that renders it air-permeable. The second type has a sinter filter with a coarser material to allow greater air transfer and better balance between the extreme pressure and moisture fluctuations. The third kind has a drainage element with mesh that allows water to drain away quickly.
Agro (Shanghai) projects the robot industry to China will continue growing. Its cable glands are widely used in Europe, but it expects the Progress series of cable glands to be adopted in the China robotic and rolling stock industries.
The firm plans to set up an engineering team and a distributor network in China. The company’s China operations are 100 percent invested by Swiss firm Agro AG.
