IAS 2014: Conec promotes power sockets, connectors

LEADING connector manufacturer Conec is showcasing its M12 power sockets and SAL M12 connectors at the show. The products feature a larger terminal cross section and overmolded RJ-45 industrial Ethernet connectors.

Conec designs its products to meet customers’ requirements for compact and cost-efficient power connectors in line with the miniaturization trends in drives, encoders, and decentralized equipment cabling. The connectors with S-coding support 630V and 12A systems, while those with T-coding are designed for low voltage supply 63V and 12A. The connectors are suitable for use in harsh environments and meet IP67 standards.

The M12 Circular Connectors can be applied in a wide range of applications, from signal transmission to sensor technology and data transmission in field bus technology. 

Conec has modified the contact design for its M12x1 Connectors without impacting the outer shape. The contacts now have wire cross-sections of 1.5mm2 maximum, including the wire-end sleeve. This enables the connector to transmit up to 7.5A per contact. 

The company-designed overmold with an integrated locking lever protection ensures a compact transition between the connector and the cable for industrial use. This allows for optimized strain relief and improved dust protection at the cable termination.

The manufacturer’s sensors, encoders, servo motors, and PLCs are shipped to Europe. All of the company’s latest products are likewise marketed in China, where it pursues a program of localizing products to suit customers’ needs. Toward this end, the firm works with die suppliers, processors, and OEM manufacturers.

The company plans to build service centers in major first-line and second-tier cities in China to complement its quality products with optimal customer service.
