IAS 2014: Trace Software introduces elecworks 2015

FIVE-TIME IAS exhibitor Trace Software has launched the elecworks 2015, a powerful new-generation software tool. Targeted at electrical designers and automation experts, it is designed to enable the creation of automation and electrical installation.

The elecworks 2015 features elecworks Onboard and elecworks Facility for use in architecture, crude oil, electricity generator, and nuclear power design work. The solution can also be applied in the supply chain industries.

The elecworks is an electrical CAD for design engineering professionals. The company launched the elecworks in China in 2009. According to general manager Wang Rui, the product’s popularity rests on it being a solution for intelligent 2D-3D CAD. It allows designers to concentrate on design work fully without redrawing, thereby increasing productivity by at least 50 percent.

Trace Software also offers the elecworks 2D and elecworks P&ID. These can be used in the nuclear energy, water treatment, and rail transit industries.

With Industry 4.0 driving demand for intelligent production, the company continues to invest in product development. Last year, its R&D investment was 33% higher than in 2012. Mr. Wang said plans are afoot to build a sales and service center and combine distributor sales with direct sales.
