Ideal partners for the sheet metal process chain

Metalworking
TRUMPF is presenting TruLaser Cell 3000 to the general public for the first time at this year’s Euroblech exhibition, where the new five-axis processing center is operating in a process chain together with a TruBend 7036 and a TruMark Station 7000.
This gives TruLaser Cell 3000 with its TruDisk solid state laser the opportunity to show how it can handle the full range of 2D cutting and 3D welding tasks. The TruBend 7036 is impressively quick and efficient in bending small parts, while the TruMark Station 7000 completes the process chain by giving the workpiece a permanent laser marking. The entire process chain is controlled by TRUMPF’s own TruTops Fab production control software. All in all, this is a typical process chain as might be used in many companies that process sheet metal. A roller bracket for an assembly conveyor system is manufactured as a sample part. This stainless steel roller bracket was optimized during a TRUMPF part design workshop. It is manufactured from scratch in the process chain at Euroblech, passing through all the usual processing steps, from cutting to forming and joining to laser marking.
In a 2D application, the TruLaser Cell 3000 cuts contours and positioning holes from the sheet metal. The TruBend 7036 bends the cut sheet into the right shape. And in the process, it completes a chunk of the welding preparation work in advance, as the bending operation positions the part precisely so that it is ready for welding. All that is needed to stabilize the part are a few short heat-conducting seams at the four corners. The TruLaser Cell 3000 executes these seams with great precision and speed thanks to automatic focus position adjustment. When welding is completed, there is virtually no distortion on the part. The seams are very strong and visually appealing. Precision and minimal part distortion – the classic advantages of laser welding – find full expression here. In the final step, a TruMark infrared marking laser, housed inside a TruMark Station 7000, carries out a precision annealing operation on the part, producing a dark laser marking on the metal. The permanence of this marking makes it ideally suited for tracing parts and as protection against counterfeiting.
Because manufacturing even simple parts involves numerous process steps, TRUMPF offers manufacturers TruTops Fab production control software to give them optimal control over production. The software creates a comprehensive live overview of the entire production process. At a glance, users can read a whole variety of useful data, such as the processing status, machine capacity, potential free resources, bottlenecks, and material requirements. There is even a special iPad app for remote access to information on production orders and machine statuses. As we have seen, TRUMPF offers solutions all along the sheet metal process chain, from design to individual production steps to controlling the entire production process.Adidas Yeezy
