IFF opens sites in Indonesia and Chile

International Flavors & Fragrances Inc., a leading global creator of flavours and fragrances for consumer products, opens a flavours creative facility in Jakarta, Indonesia, as well as sales offices and an applications laboratories in Santiago, Chile.

IFF has maintained its presence in Indonesia for close to 60 years, and the new centre in Jakarta will mainly support local customers. Opening on November 24, the site is located on an expanded IFF site of about 1,500 sqm. It boasts modern facilities that incorporate sustainability features including heat, water and emission management systems.

Applications lab and sales offices in Santiago

IFF opens its first site in Santiago, Chile on November 26. The new site, of about 300 sqm, will comprise sales offices and applications laboratories dedicated exclusively to meet the growing demand for flavours in Chile.
“These facilities support our global strategic initiative to grow business in fast-emerging markets, such as Chile and Indonesia,” said CEO Andreas Fibig, Chief. “Further, close proximity to our customers allows us to combine our global expertise with local consumer understanding to create unique and authentic flavor solutions. The new facilities in Indonesia and Chile underscore our commitment as a leading global partner to generate value for our flavours customers around the world.”
In support of emerging markets, the company has made other investment in Indonesia, a flavours centre in Gebze, Turkey, a flavours plant in Guangzhou, China, a liquid flavours and fragrances manufacturing facility in Singapore, as well as creative and technical facilities in New Delhi, India; in Guangzhou, Beijing and Chengdu in China; and in Dubai, UAE.
